It is nickel free. It will never chip, flake, or cause skin irritations. Safe to wear every single day. Sterling silver is prone to tarnish over time, but it will not change color other than that. While you can’t prevent tarnishing, you can remove it with a soft cloth and silver polish. Silver being worn continuously will stay bright. My components (charms, chains, etc.) do come from all over. I like to thrift components and upcycle where I can, so these items may also tarnish and\/or change over time….OR they might not. I can’t guarantee anything there, as they are usually second hand when I acquire them. If I know what they are, I will tell you in the description. My copper and jewelers brass wire is also from Rio Grande.
